The sixth foundation stone is “...resurrection of the dead...”. There are two components to this stone, death and resurrection. There are three types of death; natural, spiritual, and second. There are two types of resurrection; unto eternal life and unto everlasting punishment. Paul told the church at Thessalonica, “I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead)...”. It is not the Lord’s will for us to be ignorant of any aspect of His will regarding the church nor bound by the tradition and doctrine of man. God created man to live and not die! He desired for man to live. However, God also created man with freedom of choice. If man chose to yield himself to the authority of the enemy rather than his Creator, he would become a slave to the enemy and die: spiritual death immediately, natural death in the process of time. The moment Adam transgressed he died spiritually, but he continued to live 930 years on the earth as a natural man and then died. The second death comes after the Great White Throne judgment. Anyone not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire: This is the Second Death. (...to be continued...)
