The thing about Orange County Trial Lawyers is theyre so litigious they had to invite a judge to their annual awards banquet to adjudicate the election results. It wouldnt be so bad if this was a once a year problem, but its not occasional . . . these guys are in court arguing with each other every day of the year!!! But I wouldnt worry, if youre planning to go, youre not likely to be bored. It is sure to be an entertaining evening cause NObody knows how to string more words together than these guys do. It kind of makes me jealous thinking about it. Me up here in the INLAND Northwest . . . nestled at the foot of the Selkirks with these endless vistas of the Rocky Mountains behind them. Ah, the scent of pine needles accompanied by the music of river rapids. You down there, with the view of Catalina across the Bay, framed by the branches of citrus trees and Manzanita, accompanied by . . . the scent of smog from the LA basin and the music of traffic on the 405. hehehe Why do you suppose there are so many trial lawyers in Orange County? They say those freeways are like the trial lawyers income security plan. Nothing makes for a better lawsuit than a little road rage and a 75 car pile-up. But seriously, the OCTLA is one of the largest and most influential organizations of its kind, and I am very, very proud that my nephew Ted Wacker has been elected its President for 2015 He was always a lucky kid, having me for an Uncle was quite an advantage to him. I taught him everything he knows about stringing words together . . . and even some English. Its just that hes so busy he hasnt spoken to ME in most of eight years. Well, no matter. Poor relations are easily forgot. BUT HELL NOT LIKELY FORGET THIS EVENING!! Congratulations, TED. This is an honor well earned and a blessing for the association to be inspired and guided by your unflagging leadership and determination. I know your Father would be proud. And so am I.
