The town of Coaldale declared a Local State of Emergency at 3 am this morning due to the strain on the Towns wastewater or sewer system. Residents are asked to minimize their water use to allow the system to catch up to the demand. Crews have been working through the night to address the situation. Any reduction in water going into the system will help. Resident are also asked to check catch basins near their property to ensure water can flow as freely as possible. Make sure downspouts are directed away from homes and other buildings. The Town of Coaldale appreciates the cooperation of residents in this emergency situation.
