The truth is... Youll see a lot of things... you never thought youd see. Youll witness a level of cruelty... you didnt think was possible. Youll feel a degree of helplessness... you never thought youd know. Youll feel a pain you never knew you could, soon burned into your memory...... that will haunt your thoughts forever. Youll try to pick up the pieces, so many pieces... of the damage you didnt do. Youll do everything in your power... but even still its never enough. Youll try to stay strong... but youll mostly feel weak. Youll build walls to protect your heart but theyll never keep you safe. Youll place barriers around your soul but the pain will always reach you. And no matter how hard you try to fight it... over time... heres the truth about what happens when your with a Narcissist; The neglect changes you. The abuse hardens you. The suffering breaks you. The ignorance angers you. The indifference disturbs you. The injustice destroys you. On a daily basis... Your faith will be tested. Your heart will be wounded. Your soul will be altered. Youll question yourself. Youll question your strength. Youll question the world. Youll fall down. Youll get up. Youll go on... But just know there will come a point where youll look back... And wonder how youve managed to keep going. Youll learn to mourn. To grieve. To sob. About all that you thought was going to be, that never was! Youll learn to trust a lot less. To fight a little harder, For we are stronger then them in every way! Youll learn that they cant & wont change no matter how hard you try, no matter what you give up!
