The visiting nurse came out and did a finger poke to get Johns bloodwork that we needed and then she called it in to his surgeons office while she was still here. Much much better and faster this way than having us drive 4 hours to get blood drawn and then waiting for the results. I would love to have one of those machines. Wow. It worked like a glucometer (for testing blood sugar) except this one checks the PT (how thin the blood is) The nurse will be back out on Thursday to run another test since Johns PT was low. They are adjusting his medicine so this frequent testing is normal. John is happy with it and it gives him plenty of time to rest instead of having to go into town so frequently. Since I also gained extra time by this, I was able to get the mail box put back up from where the snow plow had knocked it over. And I got (I hope) the spot in the driveway that had a rock pocking up too high, fixed. I hope it is a good fix so we dont have to worry about that rock hitting the underside of cars. I should know tomorrow. Ill run the car back and forth over it a few times to check my handiwork. :D Made some vegetable soup for John today and fresh baked bread and he ate a couple of bowls of the soup with some ginger tea and a couple pieces of bread. Finally, hes eating. I got all my outside chores done too. Animals fed and happy. John went out onto the back step and Eve (our 3 month old goat) came over so he could pet her and of course feed her treats. Sweet. :D All in all, it was a good day. I am tired and heading to bed now. Sleep well everyone.
