The weather is great down here at Homestead-Miami Speedway and were looking for a great finish to the new Chase and the Sprint Cup Series season on Sunday. A lot of talk down here about the domestic assault case involving Kurt Busch, especially after a California congresswoman called on NASCAR to suspend him. I dont know what the truth is, but have we really become a country that you are treated guilty before the investigation has been completed or even one charge has been brought? Yes, we need to be sensitive to domestic abuse of any kind, whether its a man or woman, but if the alleged victim is now safe, and if the facts are not crystal clear, shouldnt we let law enforcement officials conduct a thorough inquiry before any action is taken? In our race to be politically correct all the time have we really lost the concept of innocent until proven guilty? Again, not taking sides and not saying the alleged victim is not telling the truth, but let the police do what they do and see where it leads.
