The will of the people spoke last night in the election. Win, lose ,or draw it is what it is... Where do we go from here???? Get to know the elected officials today. Do you know who represents you in the following positions. 1. City Council 2. School Board 3. District Attorney 4. State Rep 5. State Senate 6. Elected Judges 7. City Comptroller 8. Sheriff 9. Mayor 10. Several Others... These are just a few of the positions that were on the local ballots yesterday. Do you know their names? Do you know how to get in contact with them? Do you really know where they stand on the issues that are of concern to you, your family, and your community. An advantage of living in small town America is that you get a better chance to know each and everyone of these people. When you live in a city of 20,000 or more the citizens often loose track or are not as concerned with local politics. They tend to focus only on the National elected officials. These people listed above are the real decision makers of our wallets and often the discontent of our woes with the political process. So today I challenge all my enthusiastic voters from Tuesday to take a step back, and start your research today for the next election. We are ARE future, and that future starts today... Our children and elders are counting on us to make a difference... Smoochies!!!
