The woman at the bagel shop and I had a short conversation on Veterans Day. (which I wasnt planning on). I dont know if I delivered a sort of double-message of openmindedness, while trying to understand why Christians have completely different convictions on war, but--I tried to ponder it. I was trying to really reason about it--so that Im not against them--maybe God gave them different convictions than me....not sure. I think she was stunned. And I didnt go into oil companies, but we were just on the topic of holy war. So--I had to admire her perky attitude about just serving bagels and italian soda on a sunny day.
