The woman that will be my regular visiting nurse just returned from vacation. She put the wound vac on for the first time yesterday afternoon. She misunderstood my comments that a complete bridge was not necessary, so she put the nozzle right over the plastic foam of the open surgery wound, resulting in intense torment for the past 24 hours. Fortunately, she responded to my distress call and will be here around 3:30 PM to redo the wound vac. I was instructed to turn off the pump in the interim, which is providing me considerable relief. Oh, woe is me!! LOL
