The woooooooooooorst April Fools joke I fell for. I lost my job a few years ago. It was a devastating blow when it happened. Mortgage, my daughter was about 3 at the time and my wifes daughter was fixing to graduate High School. My wife was trying hard to get this one job she really wanted with a company. Gone through many hoops with going through a temp agency and tests and what not. She makes the off hand comment that she had a poppy seed muffin before taking the drug test and heard that, that could trigger the test. The phone rings. I hear her talking to someone...hello, yes....what do you mean I failed the drug test...then got angry and yelled at the phone and then hangs up she has this look on her face. I mean she sold this thing. My heart drops to my toes. Then, Marilyn says: April Fools day. She apparently made the phone ring by hitting some button on the phone or something and I wasnt paying attention to what she was doing. Cold hearted downright mean! She ended up getting the job and everything turned out pretty good
