The worst possible moment in a Christian college students life is when you are sitting is a philosophy class and the atheist professor poses the question, is it ever justifiable to kill another person in order to save yourself and/ or a member of your family and then goes on to ask, is war ever justifiable in order to preserve liberty? Liberty to do what? To act like fools? Americans have been fighting wars since the Revolutionary War. It would almost appear in this day and age that we are killing ourselves to insure that we can be free to commit the 7 deadly sins as opposed to the 7 heavenly virtues. Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy or Pride versus Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience. Kindness and Humility?? Ever wonder what foreigners think when they see our HOLLYWOOD movies? And to think, we could not be perceived UGLY Americans? HELLO!
