This can be achieved simply by cutting 500 calories per day from your diet. However, this can leave you feeling hungry, unsatisfied, and less likely to stick to your fitness goals. A better alternative is to cut 250 calories from what you eat, and to burn at least 250 calories through daily physical activity (still creating the necessary 500 calorie/day deficit).
