There are many in the denominational world which believe that one church is as good as another. They believe that they’re good people in every church who will be saved, and that we will all be one big happy family in heaven. Iadmit, it all sounds good, but it pure false doctrine. Let the bible prove which is the only church which Christ built and died for, and whose faithful members will reside in heaven. One Gospel All those who have obeyed the gospel of Christ have been promised eternal life. Jesus said, “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be condemned.”Mk 16:16 Peter said, “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38 Paul said that the wages of sin is death but gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus. Rom 6:23 In like manner as Noah and his family were saved by water, even so we are saved by baptism today by being buried with Christ by baptism and raised to walk in the newness of life. 1 Pet 3:20,21 f; Rom 6:3,4 All those who remain faithful to the doctrine of Christ unto death will receive a crown of life. Rev 2:10 Anyone who obeys or teaches another gospel shall be accursed and lose their eternal soul in hell. Gal 1:6-9 f; 2 Thess 1:7-9 One Church Paul records that there is only one body (which is defined as church), and Christ is the head of this one church. Eph 4:4 f; Col 1:18 David recorded, “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it:” Ps 127:1 Christ built his church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with himself being the chief cornerstone. Mt 16:18 f; Eph 2:20 This is the same church which Christ purchased with his own blood. Acts 20:28 This one church is the pillar and ground of the truth, and contained therein is the manifold wisdom of God. 1 Tim 3:15 f; Eph 3:10 The word of truth was defined as the gospel of our salvation. Eph 1:13 Everyone who has obeyed the gospel of Christ have been added by Christ to this one church. Acts 2:47 Individually those who obey the gospel are called Christians, and collectively they are called the body (the church) of Christ. 1 Cor 12:27 f; Eph 1:22,23 Thus, the name of this one church is called: the church of Christ. Rom 16:16 One Doctrine The church which Christ built is governed by the doctrine of Christ or the apostolic doctrine. Acts 2:42 All churches which abide not in the doctrine of Christ has not God or his Son Jesus Christ. 2 Jn 9 Jesus said he was the way, truth and life and no one comes to the Father but by him. Jn 14:6 God’s Word is truth, and desires to be worshiped in Spirit and in truth. Jn 17:17 f; Jn 4:23,24 In order to worship God according to truth one must speak only the oracles (Will) of God and no go beyond that which was written in the scriptures. 1 Pet 4:11 f; 1 Cor 4:6 This means the Church (the sum total of its members) meets each first day of the week to be taught of God, to partake of the Lord’s supper, to give of it’s means, to sing (A capella), and to pray unto God. Acts 20:7 ff; 1 Cor 16:1,2; Eph 5:19; 1 Cor 14:15 One Salvation The power of God unto salvation is the gospel of Christ. Rom 1:16 “ Peter said, Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” 2 Peter 3:13 Paul wrote, “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.” Titus 1:2 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Phil 3:20 God is preparing only One new Heaven and One new Earth for all those who obey the gospel of Christ and endure to the end. Rev 21:1-7 f; Mt 24:13 There is not going to be multiple rewards for multiple churches and multiple doctrines. Tit 1:9 f; 2 Jn 9 If in the days of Noah many ships were built, but not according to the specifications God commanded, would they have endured the flood brought upon the earth by God? Even so, there are many churches which have been built and founded upon the traditions and commandments of men. Mt 15:7-9 How many of them will be able to prevail against the gates of hell? Mt 16:18 f; 2 Thess 1:7-9 The3 answer is NONE! Conclusion: There is one Church (the church of Christ), which was built by one Lord (Jesus Christ), and one Faith and one Baptism (which is the gospel of Christ). Eph 4:4,5 If you are seriously and sincerely trying to escape the flames of eternal damnation, obey the ONE GOSPEL and let the Lord add you to his ONE CHURCH, and remain faithful to his ONE DOCTRINE and you shall receive his ONE SALVATION! Acts 2:47 f; 2 Thess 1:7-9 You have God’s Promise and Oath on it! Tit 1:2 f; Heb 6:13-19. Alfred Shannon Jnr
