There are nearly as many homeless children as their are - TopicsExpress

There are nearly as many homeless children as their are incarcerated prisoners in Britain. In previous generations, even under the Thatcher regime, the Opposition would be able to brew an enormous, stability-threatening scandal over so appalling a situation. But in 2013, 80,000 homeless children is a sickening statistic that doesnt even find its way into national news media, never mind politicians speeches. Its a symbol of how extreme the cynicism of our political class has become, that they are so wrapped up in their own little, massively privileged bubble that 62million people are implicitly being governed by a quasi-autonomous bureaucracy that is interpreting government orders in the form of intense human suffering on a vast scale. Britain today resembles a destabilised third world state where the corrupt ruling class enforces their thieving stranglehold by simply starving and evicting their population to slow deaths. How else can you explain 6million unemployed and underemployed? How else can you explain over 10,000 disabled people dead directly from their state benefit being withdrawn? How else can you explain a virtually extinguished economy that founders detached from the ruling class that relies on international capital theft to continue its lavish, wasteful lifestyle? That Britain is considered an adequately functioning state by ANYONE is a supreme joke. This is a country where a quarter of a million families use foodbanks every week, where energy prices triple but wages stagnate, where everything from parks to student loans to the NHS is recklessly abandoned to rapacious finance capitalism for the sake of the careers of a thousand useless criminals in Westminster. And the absence of any purposeful resistance by the people makes our gradual poisoning ever more sad and pathetic.
