There are people who are upset at some of the flippant videos posted on social media of people doing the #ALSIceBucketChallange. They feel hurt or offended, for some reason....perhaps they have lost someone to ALS, perhaps they think others arent respectful. But the facts are: this challenge was started by a 27 year old man with ALS. It makes him smile to see people bringing awareness to the illness that is crippling him. The challenge has raised $42 millions dollars, whereas last year this time they received $2 million. If this offends people I would GLADLY start the challenge to have people get swabbed and do the ice thing to bring more donors to the #BoneMarrowRegistry and raise awareness for #Leukemia and other blood cancers.
