There is a group of 4 homeless kids who sit out the front of the cinema near my work asking for money. On occasion, when I go to the mini market just down the road at lunch to buy myself a little somethin sweet, I pick up something for the kids too. I figure if Ive got enough money to waist on things I dont actually need, I can afford to spend a dollar or two on some chocolate covered sultanas for these guys. Well today, as I walked past the cinema, some other guy (who I think was a university student) tried to pickpocket me and the only reason I know this was because one of the kids mustve been watching and came running over and grabbed my hand to let me know. Thanks to this kid, I still have my wallet. A nice story to remember next time you walk past a homeless person and pretend you didnt see them. youtube/watch?v=5cHOc5t6yaE
