There is a smart, talented and beautiful young mother who is battling breast cancer. She is surrounded by people who love her and would do anything in their power to stop the nightmarish ride. But ultimately she battles this fight alone. Surrounded by family friends and loved ones who support her and are there for her. Ultimately no one is her. No one can know exactly what tumult she is going through. Even others that are in her shoes do not share the same struggle. Each struggle is unique. That is the hard part...knowing deep down that no one can completely understand the depths of her grief...that if she were to cry out from the depths of her soul the farthest star in all the universe would hear the shout of her heart. All we can do is let her know we love her and are there for her. And those nearest and dearest to her are also on their solo journey. When we pray for her we must pray for those closest to her that feel helpless or needlessly guilty. Her family. When i say solo journey i mean only in physical sense. God is ever present.
