There is a song that has been stuck in my mind for the past couple - TopicsExpress

There is a song that has been stuck in my mind for the past couple of weeks, but Matt Redmond, called Mercy. The lyrics go like this, I will kneel in the dust at the foot of the cross, where mercy paid for me. Where the wrath I deserve, it is gone, it has passed. Your blood has hidden me. We will lift up the cup and the bread we will break, remembering Your love. We were fallen from grace, but You took on our shame and nailed it to a cross. Mercy, mercy as endless as the sea. Ill sing Your hallelujah for all eternity. May I never lose the wonder, oh the wonder of Your mercy. May I sing Your hallelujah, hallelujah, Amen! When was the last time you spent time in the dust at the foot of the cross? What a great place for us to spend some time, as it reminds us that there is where we are all the same. We spend so much time concerned about being better than so and so, or worse than them, yet at the foot of the cross we realize that it takes the blood of Jesus to experience Gods compassion and forgiveness. All of us have rebelled against God, and He had to send His only Son to buy us back. Jesus paid our debt in full, and now we can truly live, but its always good to visit the foot of the cross. Have a great week!
