There is hardly a more coachable, hard working player than Katie LaFrance. She just turned 15 and played her first National Championship in this new age group. So in addition to winning the doubles title earlier today, she also won the singles consolation draw! And talk about clutch, she did it by winning the semi-final 10-8 in the 3rd set breaker and by winning the final 11-9 in the 3rd set breaker! She had to play the doubles final, the singles quarter-final, singles semi-final and singles final all in the same day. And that is after a brutal day yesterday! Awesome when the hard workers like Katie, Jake T. Sands, et al, get such great results after their hard work! And very difficult for someone to win 4 matches in a single day unless they have worked as hard as Katie! CONGRATS!!!
