There is no uncertainty about death, but the route we take to get - TopicsExpress

There is no uncertainty about death, but the route we take to get there. A sage takes the paved straight middle road, but most people eschew the easy & dull route. And there are as many roads as people.... The winding road, the hairpin bending road on a the highest mountain pass, the road thru Las Vegas, the dusty village road, the loamy road that floods, the road by the sea, the road which must be hacked out of stone by the person himself.... Which road are you on? Which mental burdens do you carry which force you to take the hard way? People choose all sorts of distractions, and even make a distraction of spiritual journeys by rejecting god at home and traveling across the world for a god in different clothing. Something exotic! ( like I did ) The one thing people forget in the hubbub of progress to the end of the road, death, is to sit daily at the feet of their god in humility. To ask Buddha, Allah, Jesus, how best how to serve and to ask for guidance and nurturing. ..To drink in the wisdom and comfort in their hearts where spirit already dwells. Some reject the ready love of God like a man who would reject water by the side of the road for a beer or soda somewhere out of the way where they may become forever lost or mugged. Spirit is the rain , the sun , and the rich soil from which your strength comes. With devotion and daily practice, working hard on your relationship with the Light and Divine will make you strong. Life is not about the scenery on your road but the growth process in you. So!!! Choose an EASIER road and spend your time doing the work you were intended. Beloved soul, you ARE the hands and ears and feet and heart of the divine here in the physical realm. Be worthy of that role and open up to the love. You really can do anything. Surrender to the way. Let spirit walk through you and light the path with loving kindness.
