There is some really interesting railroads that have existed over the years. Growing up in Virginia I remember the RF&P and hearing and learning about the Southern RWy and N&W (was born 3 years before the merger) but as I grew up I learned of others and a few of them have captured my attention. I am planning a freelance railroad (name already picked) and Ill be setting it in the 50s. However I will be adding a twist as I am planning on having scenery from the different parts of the country these railroads served as well as having mixed locomotive power from the different railroads. So a short run down is my rr is Aspen & Colt Creek as the primary road and the power from the GN, N&W, SOU, DRGW and SP.. Weird, wacky, I know but its going to be fun. How about you?
