Theres a new paper from Dr Roger Bennett, his PhD student Haitham, Prof Georg Held and collaborators in the latest edition of PhysChemChemPhys (PCCP). Their work is also featured on the front cover! The work itself is about a specific surface of rhenium metal which, although it is racemic overall, reconstructs to form chiral facets. Chiral metal surfaces are of particular interest in catalysis, as it may be able to use them for stereoselective catalytic reactions, such as hydrogenation. dx.doi.org/10.1039/C3CP53165A dx.doi.org/10.1039/C3CP90157B
