Theres a new question posted that asks how can neighbors come together to create positive change?. Thats probably not exactly how they phrased it but I think this is a great question for us that live in the downtown area to finally deal with the overwhelming issue of run-down-rentals. Its pretty obvious that the higher crime incidents are happening nearest the cheap rents. I think its time we stop just reacting after the fact and focus more on the root causes. In the end, there may not be much we can do as individuals, but a collective voice will get much more attention from City leaders. Please log on and let your opinions be heard neighbors.
