Theres only one thing wrong with the video for The Kinks Father Christmas, and that the video itself. From 1977, it kind of predated decent recording equipment, and the YouTube versions are a bit sub-standard. Nonetheless, it hit the airwaves when I was twelve, and it has been there ever since. The Kinks have been around since the early-60s, though theyre dormant now. That said, Father Christmas palys as well now as then, though some of the toys could use an update. The music cant however. And music is what this series is about, not the sloppy video. (If youre new to the Kinks, due to some misfortune of history, check out Better Things on YouTube, and bookmark it.
