There’s always a little maintenance required to live life here - TopicsExpress

There’s always a little maintenance required to live life here on earth. A coworker and I had been talking about our mutual need for new specs, laughing about not being able to see clearly either close up or far away. I told my coworker I would be going to the optometrist’s office and they laughed and told me the day of their appointment too. We both had given in to getting our eyes checked. Yesterday I picked up my new glasses. Oh my goodness! I really did not realize how much I was missing. As I slipped them on for fitting in the doctor’s office I knew immediately that I could see so much more clearly. My whole perspective changed. As I walked to my car I couldn’t believe the crisp, sharp, colorful images of life I was seeing again. You’d think after wearing glasses for over 40 years I’d remember. I was so thankful that we have access to good eye care and I knew I’d never get this clear a vision without visiting that physician’s office. God spoke to my heart. You have to visit the optometrist, a physician, regularly to keep your clear vision. So too you must come to Me often to keep your vision focused on the spiritual life. Things can get really distorted in the world. Coming to Me will change your entire perspective – about life, about relationships, about troubles, and even about Me. I have a standing appointment open for you. No waiting needed, no insurance required, no shoving your way to the front. I AM always here. I AM always able to get you back in focus. Perfect sight requires regular visits in prayer and in fellowship with Me. What you see as a real problem may just need an adjustment. I have specialized spiritual equipment in My Word. Oh beloved, when God works on your vision, He gives you fresh insight and a whole new perspective. Yes, you may have had a serious injury to your eye. It is weakened by the troubles you’ve seen and the issues you’ve gone through. Distortion has come and you’re barely able to see the Lord in your situation. But He’s there. He’s working on your life even in the midst of things you cannot understand. And even though you are having trouble seeing what He is doing, you can trust that He is at work. When you spend time with Him He restores your sight and grants you favor even while you are feeling the pain of whatever you are going through. Run to Him quickly and let Him repair your vision. Instead of focusing on the problem you will focus on Him and understand that the troubles are temporary but being able to see the Lord is eternal. You will go out into the day with joy and peace and the realization that you are a favored child of God who is focusing on His truth with brand new eyes! God loves you and He’s for you. You are God’s beloved! Watch closely because He is about to open doors & windows and fling the Kingdom of Heaven your way! You will see Him clearly and in the beauty of His holiness as He walks you through your life keeping your eyes on Him. Time with Him restores your sight, your hope, your trust and your perspective as you live in the light of His Word. Hebrews 11:27 It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the One who is invisible. Psalm 73:16-17 When I pondered to understand this, It was troublesome in my sight until I came into the sanctuary of God… Psalm 21:6 For You make him most blessed forever; You make him joyful with gladness in Your presence. Acts 7:55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith
