These are photos of items a customer brought in today to the shop which were damaged during last nights lightning and thunder storm. The pictures show burnt out and exploded capacitors, resistors and burnt out cabling. Remember in an electrical storm to ensure all computer equipment including modem/routers and phone connections are plugged into a good quality surge board or better still a UPS. (Uninterruptible Power Supply) A UPS is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a load when the input power source, typically mains power, fails.
