Think about it: Is there anything that we don’t feel the need to hurry? Take a look at your daily life and ask yourself, how often am I feeling rushed? If you are feeling it, your kids certainly are too. This constant need to hurry, to get more done, to be constantly “doing something” contributes to low level cumulative stress and has a significant negative impact on our children’s ability to develop resiliency and to relax into childhood.
