Think addition, not subtraction!! When trying to break bad habits and create new ones, we tend to focus all our energy and thoughts on the things we CANT DO anymore. All the things you have to take out or subtract. i.e.: I cant eat this. I cant drink that. I cant go there. I cant hang out with those people. I cant watch this. I cant I cant I cant. But what if you turned that focus around. As oppose to focusing everything on the I cant, instead reminded yourself of all the things you CAN DO! Think of the things you are ADDING in to your daily routine. i.e.: I am adding in more chicken and vegetables to my diet. I am spending more time focussing on myself, my family, my friends, instead of mindlessly watching hours of TV. I am improving my health by adding in walks on my lunch break as oppose to just staying put at my desk. This simple mental switch can make a world of difference!! Happy Friday!!
