Think of it: Is it worth to stay in India with Medical degree? If you are a bright student - The ordeal starts at class 8. Go to techno school to start prep for eamcet. MBBS - no body recognises you as doctor. MD,MS - Not confident to tackle serious cases, needs further work experience - 30+ by the time you start earning DM, MCh - also needs further work experience, 35+ by the time you start earning In Govt. service - answerable to even uneducated chota leader of political party. Need to explain to him within 5 mts. the entire thing you learned over a period of 20 yrs. In private practice - more responsibilities, from the municipal authorities, electricity boards, fire authorities, Medical authorities and finally from your neighbours. (Neighbours are the most dangerous, they try to trouble you by all means and try to pick of quarrel on flimsy basis). Pay all types of taxes on commercial basis and collect fees on charity basis. People start to recognise you as doctor after 5 yrs experience in practice. By that time you are nearing 45yrs. Have 5-10 yrs successful practice. By 55 you look too old (to public) with graying of hair / loss of hair due to constant stress and strain. Children call you Grand paa even though you children are still in High school.
