This brings back a lot of memories for me. Basic training in the Air Force was a life changing event in the life of a southern Ohio country boy. I went from a naive Rainbow ( a term given to a new recruit because everyone was wearing street clothes of every color before you received your uniforms) to an Airman First Class at the end of 6 weeks. Honor, Commitment and Discipline were instilled into my heart, mind and body. I went from being an individual to being a member of a team, a team that acted as one. This is where I became part of the brotherhood, I went from being one man to being part of a family where the man beside me was my brother and the man beside him and even the woman beside him. I have many fond memories of those times and I salute all of my brothers and sisters who went down the same path before me and after!
