Some of the best parts of my childhood were the summers where we would have family reunions. Many of you can relate! My Grandfather along with my Uncle and other men in the family would organize these labors of love. They took charge especially in the cooking department. You talk about food! I cant even begin to tell you about how good the ribs, chicken, hot dogs, beans, potato salad and on and on were..........👅 In 2000 my grandfather died. I found myself asking after the service, Why is it, the only time we (family) get together is for a funeral? I talked to my Uncle soon afterwards. I asked questions and he gave valuable advice. It was then along with my cousin (his daughter Carmen) we spearheaded the first of four straight family reunions. This was from the first year 2001. This was the impact my Uncle had on me. Here he is as Stuart Scott would have said. As smooth as the other side of the pillow. Love and miss you Uncle Leroy.
