This evening I heard Vesti FM on 1413 from the Moldova Relay. Always hopeful there may be a greater scale opening from that part of the world I was suprised to hear very strong Chinese string type music a bit lower on the dial around 3:00 UTC on 1359 khz . At first , my thought was to check and see if there were any multicultural stations possibly on 1360 with signal bleeding over with Chinese in Canada or the United States. Checking my sources there appears to only be one such station in Massachusetts who, at the time was streaming Spanish programming while checking their internet feed. The chinese music from the unidentified station continued for a period of time . It then started to fade away with a very strong het after the fact. Could this be the one that got away (China ? ) By the way I have never logged China on Medium Wave . My sources indicate there are numerous CNR1 outlets on 1359 so it would be difficult to pinpoint without more identification and details to go on. I hope its a sign of things as we head into the fall DX season.
