This exemplifies how misleading the Fraser Institute is on all of their research. This is a biennial study that they do and every time it has the exact same headline. You can see all the press releases on their website. The only thing they somehow forget to say is that the percent tax that we pay has come down from 47% in 2003 to 41.8% in 2013. So, over the last ten years, taxes have steadily come down and how has the economy done? As well, they constantly refer back to the year 1961as a comparison. Well, we live in a much different world today than in 1961. Lets get real.
