This incident alert will provide a brief update on both the Springton Fire and the Angaston Fire in that order. The Springton fire is now contained. Approximately 675 hectares of grass and scrub has been burnt. There is one unconfirmed loss of a shed at this point in time but no other assets. CFS crews will remain on the fire ground overnight to undertake mop up and patrol. Air observation will fly the fire ground in the early morning to assess the situation. End of first message The Angaston fire is still going and has burnt 1436 hectares. The active fire front has slowed travelling East and no assets are under threat at this point in time, nor have there been any confirmed loss of assets. CFS fire fighters will continue to extinguish the active fire line and patrol looking for spotting and any breakouts. Approximately 150 CFS personnel will be on the fireground overnight. Conditions allowing air observation is scheduled for early morning to assess the fireground status.
