This is Blackadder - a tea clipper built in 1870. She was built specifically for transporting tea from Shanghai to England, but was de-masted on her maiden voyage, and ended up on the Australian wool run. Eventually sold to Norwegian owners, she sank in 1905 with a full load of coal off Brazil. What a life! Blackadder is one of the ships whose log book pages you may come across in Weather Detective - weatherdetective.net.au/ The weather observations taken by her Captain are being added to a global database of our planets past weather by citizen scientists.
