This is Kringle, a very special dog, at the Humane Society of Northwest Montana his name is Kringle because he was found at Christmas last year (Kris Kringle, father Christmas!) and to see him run and play now is amazing from where he has come. Surviving a live trap and injuries; to a happy healthy boy, this is one you dont want to ignore. Kringle has come a long way since our first meeting on December 30th. On that day he had been siting in a live trap for 5 days, soaked in urine after being hit by car. He was withdrawn, hard to read, in pain. It didnt take long for his personality to come out though after a bath, pain killers, and thorough but careful examination by our veterinarian. Now, almost four months later, Kringle is different dog. Hes playful, engaging, and goofy. Couple of months ago Kringle had to undergo an orthopedic surgery to remove the ball of the femur on his left leg which was broken when he was hit by a car. He has now fully recovered is ready for his forever home. Luckily, his knee ligament healed on its own thanks to weeks of crate rest (thank goodness for small miracles!). In true survivor spirit, the surgery didnt slow him done a bit! Our issues is being able to keep him quiet enough to do his rehab and allow everything to heal! Kringle is an amazing and smart boy. Because of his injuries and rehab, we have not been able to introduce him to other dogs but we did find out that hes not fond of cats when Critter Cat, in a true feline fashion, attempted a kamikaze move trying to meet him.
