This is about our beloved Pit Bull Sunny-Boy, whose death I wrote about yesterday. 😊 we miss Sunny a lot. He was a rescued Pit Bull from the worst neighborhood in LA. The shelter I retrieved him from on what was to be his day of death 9 years ago was 2 blocks from the intersection Reginald Denny was beaten in during the LA riots. He was an adolescent with a rope embedded in his neck because it wasnt removed or loosened as he grew. He had every reason to hate people but loved and trusted every person he ever met. He was gentle with our kitten and allowed our Cocker to beat him up and chew his ears and jowls for her entertainment. He was everything a Pit Bull isnt supposed to be. Gentle, timid and loving unless you were a squirrel. LOL
