This is an article I would like to share with my children and grandchildren and all the Parsis who have contracted inter- faith marriages. They have just lost their Father & Grand Father and the question of my death and the disposal of my earthly body came up. As there is no doongerwadi or vultures within them my young granddaughter said they could feed the vultures when the time came with my body at the wild life park. But she said it as a joke. But could the high priests tell me what happens to the bodies of dead Parsis who live all over the world where there are no dead facilities for Parsees available. I once asked my Dear Dad who has been dead for a long time why Parsis have a different form of burial. His answer was Never forget Zareen that Parses come into this world to help mankind and any living thing so when a Parsee dies his or her body feeds the Vultures and when the bones are swept into the well which carries them out to sea to feed the Plankton. So a Parsee helps lives while he is alive and his body helps after the soul has departed . But the modern Parsee seems to have forgotten what the tenets of the Parsee Faith stand for If the body is cremated and then the ashes scattered in the sea it would still be in keeping with the tenets of my religion. So you High Priests please look in side your hearts and stop giving grief to the people who are already grieving
