This is an old fashioned begging letter. We want something from you. Would you like your business to be featured on the smallbusinesscan blog? Submit your start-up story to info@smallbusinesscan We get content (the blog is a hungry beast) and in return we’ll promote you through all of our social media channels – the website (57,000 visitors in February), our Facebook page (nearly 5000 likes and growing every day), our Twitter thingy (10,000 followers)…that Pinerest whatchamacalit? (only started last week…don’t know what it does), our Linkedin partners (Ulster Bank has 3-4000 followers in its group and we have influence there). If it’s a really good piece we’ll send it into the newspapers because they’re always looking for content from us. We’re currently posting 2 stories every day, 5 days a week. We want to up this and also have new content going up over the weekends. While we’re interested in any blog that may help other business people, we’re particularly interested in start up stories. What’s your business? How did you get it off the ground? How are you financing it? What channels are you selling through? What’s the revenue model? How are you bringing in management? How are you going to scale? Obstacles you met on the way…places that you received help etc. etc. Just some ideas…your story is up to you. But, keep it simple and short – 500-750 words. Submit your start-up story to info@smallbusinesscan That’s the blog sorted. Next week we’re going to start asking more of you to contribute in our new forums. Lots of questions up there at the moment where people are looking for help on business planning and forecasting, sources of funding, online resources dedicated to business women, questions about technology…. Please help if you can or ask your own question…in 6 years we’ve never left anyone hanging and will always try and get an answer (even if its ‘we don’t know…but this guy might’).
