This is in 2003 in the Solomon Islands under RAMSI. We were given the task of capacity building by raising a pipe band at a boarding school in 4 months. We had them playing Leaving Liverpool at the end in front of their assembly and six sets of pipes and several drums we gave them. I went back to the Solomons numerous time with the AFP and visited. Sad to say i folded. Initially they had kilts made from cheap cloth and thongs and manage to do two street marches in Honiara in 2004.
