This is my Lion King Simba inspired Paper Mache / mixed media Headdress / Wall Art I made last March. I would love to get involved in prop design and creation. Im a member of Derby Theatre Costume Club which is a social gathering for Custume enthusiasts meeting once a month. The Groups creator asked if we would like to bring anything wed made in for the meeting. Im not the best seamstress but was blown away by the Lion King Musical which I saw in 2013. I challenged myself to make this in the five days Annual Leave I had from work the week before the meet up. Everyone else contributed with sewn items so I was unsure how it was going to be received. They loved it and a lady tried it on its so lightweight. I created this by Googling photographic stills and trying to scale it for size that way. It measures approx 22 x 23 and is hanging on my bedroom wall. I have since adapted it to suit my wall (lack of storage space) but it could have worn it as a Headdress when it was first made. Hope you like :)
