This is my official review. Please share and tell everyone you know not to use this company. I saw Hop to it Maids add on Facebook advertising a Thanksgiving clean up to 5hrs for $159. This is expensive but it was last minute and we were hosting dinner at our place so I phoned. I booked in with Lindy ( I assume she is the owner/manager of this business ) for Saturday October 11 at 1pm. She told me we would have to pay travel because we are out of the city of $35. She said leave the cash on the table with a list. Lindy told me the girls are trained to work top down so whatever is on the top of the list will be done first. One girl is supposed to do kitchen and bathrooms and one girl is supposed to do floors and dusting. I will post my list so you can judge for yourself : Top Down list 1 - Main Bath - shower doesnt need to be done as its not used. Everything else can be cleaned. - Half bath - Kitchen - Dont worry about inside of fridge or oven - Dont worry about under them either - Wipe down cupboards, appliances and back splash - Clean Sinks - Master Bath - Shower, Tub and Tiles need good scrub, Everything else can be wiped down. 2 - Vacuum and Mop upstairs, downstairs and stairs - toys and books away and toy room vacuumed and mopped - Dust up stairs and Down - Wipe wainscoting They were supposedly trained on a Top Down list. You be the judge. On October 11, I received a phone call at 1:50 saying the girls were lost. I live 35-40min west of the city. This tells me they never even left the city until after 1pm. Very unprofessional right off the bat. I should have known but I thought Id give them the benefit of the doubt and have them directions from where they were. At 2:15 they got to the door. Two minutes later they called and told me I never left enough cash - that tells me the communication within the company is obviously lacking. I told them if there was an issue to have Lindy phone me. They said no thats ok. I shouldve known better right there again. I know they spent at least 1:45min here because my husband drove up the driveway at 3:50 and saw their vehicle. In the time they were here this is a list of what I know they did. Wiped the toaster and mixer in the kitchen. Wiped the stove top and wiped but not cleaned the main kitchen sink. Somewhat wiped the counters. Made the bed in the toy room (literally looked like my kids did it as the sheets werent even tucked in and the pillows werent even put nicely at the top of the bed) and put toys away sort of in the toy room. Wiped down the tv and entertainment center. Wiped counter in main bath and moved shower curtain in main bath and put rug on the floor. They vacuumed the rugs of which we have very little and thats it. Please take a look at my list and see for yourself if they worked in a top down fashion as they are supposedly trained. And then take a lesson from me and please dont waste your money. If you feel like spending that kind of money put it in your cash jar and clean for two hours straight. You will get more accomplished then what these girls did in four combined hours. I literally came home and spent three hours vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and stuff in the kitchen that never got done. Worst $194 ever lost. Im so sad about this. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Lindy told me we could get one free hour of cleaning with out next booking to make up for it but I would NEVER book with them again.
