This is part of the many things Jansen goes through since early days of life. Its called suction and its to clear his airways of built up secretion. A difficult but necessary measure so he can breathe well and nothing gets clogged up. At one point, it was as frequent as 5 times a day at the hospital. Its down to twice now at home. These are the two times of the day where its a heart wrenching experience for us. Someone has to do it though. Need an amount of emotional strength to do this every day. This clip is just on one nostril. A full cycle would be through both nostrils and mouth. Each time would be between 1-2 cycles depending on the amount of secretion. This video isnt for the faint hearted and sometimes things dont go as smoothly as in this clip. Please view at own discretion. Posting thing isnt to garner sympathy. Its to share that your encouragement and support has helped us go through all these things as well. It also creates awareness that there are parents/families of children with breathing difficulties/disabilities too that needs to go though as such. Im believing for miracles on behalf of all of them. Every kid should never be deprived of running around freely, games and sports without the parents worrying sick of a lung collapse.
