This is such an old case brought up during law classes and as of late in FB. People clearly have uninformed subjective points of view on the matter. Bottom line, in short, just because McDonalds was aware a few careless people didnt exercise caution when opening a lid to a cup of coffee that already said caution contents hot doesnt infer directly or indirectly that McDonalds was being indifferent towards the matter. They likely chalked it up to careless people making careless choices while ignoring the clear label of caution on the cup! People still swim at beaches clearly marked swim at your own risk! And people still drive drunk despite knowing the illegality of it and the FACT that they can not only cause themselves harm but others too! The fact that we have to put warning labels on damn near everything made speaks volumes as to the sheer ignorance of people or simple fact that people simply dont care to act responsibly and want to blame others for their carelessness. Ignorance and/or wanton bad choices should never be rewarded!!!
