This is the cover of Marvel UKs Summer 1979 one-shot special TV HEROES, specially selected in light of todays sad news. This was one of M-UKs first wave of specials and was a pilot for a potential magazine-format companion to STARBURST, devoted (as the title suggests) to all things TV. Dez Skinn was using these seasonal specials as testers for potential regular series but, either because of low sales or the amount of effort and original material required, TV HEROES never returned. More successful were the likes of FRANTIC (two one-shots followed by a regular series), MARVEL SUPERHEROES (one special followed by a revamp of MARVEL COMIC) and STAR HEROES (which returned, after a Winter Special) as part of the Pocket Books line. Skinn had a theme going with various iterations of **** HEROES (Marvel Superheroes, Star Heroes, TV Heroes).
