This is the kind of response from Christians that always leaves me shaking my head. From Mike via e-mail Your ignorance on this subject is killing your point. The bible wasnt written by a guy 2,000 years ago and Jesus wasnt the leader if a roman mens club. Id certainly appreciate you siting your biblical source when you make vague statements about what the bible says. Its all broken down in chapters and verses so it should be really easy to show your listeners the verses so they can read for themselves. The problem is that the context youre referencing dont exist. Its unfortunate theres no one on your show to call you out on them live. Sounds like youve listened to the ignorance of others instead of researching for yourself on this subject. The lust for power of a position in a church instantly shows that the person, male or female, is missing the point and therefore isnt qualified to begin with. If a persons heart is set on a title, theyre a fool. If its set on service and love for others, regardless of recognition, they hold a higher rank in the eyes of God, much higher than any earthly position/title that can be given to them. Youre arguments base misses the entire point of the core of the teachings in the Bible. I just wanted to say that I think its silly that you have no respect for the Bible, dont follow it and are completely ignorant to the true message inside of it yet you feel you should get involved and try to dictate how religion based around it is structured. If youre looking for holes and contradictions in organized religion, youll find no shortage of them but dont be foolish enough to believe that theyre all set up in biblical truth. Why not read the bible and use it to prove your point instead of assuming it lines up with Catholic dogma. Youd have a much better chance of proving your point without coming off with piles of ignorance pouring out. Love your show but youre off on this one.
