This is the lead-in to a recent letter to the editor endorsing a political candidate, but I think it speaks for many of us. We need to bend the trajectory of our community. When we talked about the possibility of downsizing and moving to another city with our teenaged children .... we yielded to their close connection to this little city ... even though we knew there was much work to be done to make it the place we wanted to live out our lives. Im concerned about the look of our little town, with junkyards on both ends of our quaint downtown and dilapidated sidewalks and crumbling buildings throughout what is cheerfully called our historic district.
