This is the story of Maria, Greek girl who returns to Greece after living in Hamburg for 20 years. Her German husband Gunnar and their 3 years old boy go with her. It’s 2010 and Greece is facing the hardship and the impairment of the financial crisis. Maria tries to understand the situation, to uncover the true reasons for the deep crisis and compare Greece and Germany political situations. But what can Europeans do to overcome the crisis? The director asks her. “Share their knowledge” she says, “like in good salad, what makes it tasty is the mix of ingredients: Greek olive oil, German potatoes, Italian tomatoes and Bulgarian cheese.”
