This is very poor quality video of Monarcha`s trip outside about 45 min after she emerged from the chrysalis this morning. She was not ready to support herself except by hanging upside down. I was by myself and struggling to operate my phone camera while she clung to my hand. I should have let her rest in her screened condo for another hour or two before attempting to get her back to nature. Much of the video is upside down. After the video ended, I moved her to an ash tree, then a sand cherry bush, then some bee balm, and finally to a secluded area thick with milkweed and day lilies just over the fence. (See the stills I posted earlier this evening.) I hope to post the video of her emergence from the chrysalis later tonight.
