I believe the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) can and should craft regulations in a way that protects the environment and public health while fostering economic recovery and jobs. Many federal laws, such as the Clean Air Act, provide the EPA with the necessary flexibility to craft such regulations. It is critically important that people have a voice in the rulemaking process and that the EPA listen to and respond to public concerns.
